The Marae is fully serviced as such, all meals and refreshments are prepared by our experienced trained Marae kai mahi (staff). All you have to do is sit back and enjoy our manakitanga (hospitality).
Where ever possible we will prepare and cook all food on site using in season local fruit and produce. Most fruit and vegetables will be sourced from within our communal garden or adjacent orchard. We support healthy food choices and healthy living and endeavour to minimise the use of food with artificial colouring, preservatives or hormones.
We offer 3-course meal options that include a selection of freshly prepared vegetables and salads, carved meats and an option of fresh Aotearoa New Zealand kai moana (seafood). Or for an authentic Maori experience opt our delicious Hangi which includes an assortment of succulent meats and fresh seasonal vegetables cooked to perfection.
Below is an outline of what we may offer you during your Marae stay.
NB: Please inform your host whether or not you have any special dietary requirements upon making your booking.
